CTO set to rebrand wedding tourism

The Cyprus Tourism Organisation (CTO) is set to adopt a new strategy in ‘wedding tourism’ which has become an important and special type of tourism in which the CTO attaches great importance.
Over 8,000 weddings are performed annually in Cyprus and generate some €120 million in revenue.
The new year will see the CTO launch its new brand changing and expanding the exposure of Cyprus as a wedding destination from its traditional markets of the UK, Ireland and Lebanon while giving particular emphasis on the Russian market.
The results of a report commissioned by the CTO regarding political weddings, their numbers, preferred areas and the prospects of developing the industry is expected to be released soon.
